NOTA BENE-
The Bishop of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, The Most Rev’d Steven Lopes, has decreed that Ember Friday in September ( that is, this Friday the 18th ) is to be kept as an OBLIGATORY DAY OF ABSTINENCE FROM MEAT. This is binding on all Catholics within the Ordinariate and may not be replaced by performing some other act of penitence. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.
