Exploring The Catholic Faith

Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic faith?  Most members of Our Lady and St. John (including the priest!) entered the Catholic faith from another tradition (or none!), so we are experienced in explaining the Catholic faith to those outside it.

If you have questions about the Catholic faith, meeting with a priest is a great way to learn more.  Just drop an e-mail to secretary@ourladyandstjohn.org or give us a call at the number under "Contact Us" to make an appointment.

For those who want a deeper exploration of the Catholic Faith, we offer instruction either one-on-one or in small groups year-round.  Currently, we have classes at 6:30 P.M. on Fridays: subscribe to our emails to be notified any weekly changes.  Everyone is welcome to these, whether you are planning to become Catholic, are discerning whether to do so, or are just curious.  For those who are not already Christians, we offer a full course in the Catholic Faith (RCIA).  For those who are already non-Catholic Christians, courses will tend to move more quickly, focusing on both the differences and continuities between the Catholic faith and the current traditions of the class members.  Those who are already Catholic but would like to get a better understanding of the faith are also welcome.

If after this exploration you wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church, the ideal times to do so are at the Vigils of Easter and Pentecost.  However, those already baptized may be received into the Church at other times as well.
